One of the narrative techniques used in the Greek Alexander Romance is analepsis. The purpose of this paper is to examine analepsis as a narrative technique in the Romance, particularly recension αα, written in manuscript (A). This paper attempts to trace two aspects of analepsis: internal and external analepsis.
