Shyness and modesty are two qualities that cause a common confusion between them in clarifying their concept. For modesty has a living moral value in the souls of honorable people. It is the feeling of an ugly act and the fear of it coming. As well as the shyness that occurs; because the character believes that she will not be able to show herself in the way she wishes for herself in front of others. The character of Phaedra was the best example of applying and highlighting the value of modesty, and clarifying the characteristic of shyness in the play Phaedra by the Latin poet Seneca and the play Fedra by the Italian writer Zauli.
