This paper deals with the Poetic Imagery and the Rhetorical style of the Roman poet Ovid in his “Heroides” through the analysis of the rhetorical elements. It, also, examines the views of rhetoricians like Aristotle and Quintilian, along with the work of "Rhetoric to Herenius" regarding the rhetorical patterns under study. The study is divided into two sections and conclusion. The first section presents simile and personification. The second section highlights the rhetorical style related to words like alliteration, assonance, and rhetorical repetition (repetitio rhetorica) that includes polyptoton, anadiplosis, epizeuxis, diacope and anaphora. It discusses the rhetorical style, related to meaning like apostrophe, hyperbole and zeugma.
