In this paper I will attempt to offer an analysis for the most important building elements and distinctive words of The third epinician ode, one of The most famous epinician poems by Greek poet Bacchylides (516 B.C– 451 B.C.). This Ode was composed to celebrate the victory of Hieron, ruler of Syracuse, in the horse race at the Olympian games at 486.B.C. Like all epinician poems it was preserved in papyri (DCCXXXIII) at British museum and edited by Kenyon. F at 1897. The Paper will also discuss the history of the poet in Papyri, the main parts of the poem and its content, alternative means used by Bacchylides to compose significant ode, that we can consider it as a model for all Greek epinician odes.
